The 2025 Kobelco Global Service Competition in Kobe, Japan has wrapped up, and it was nothing short of spectacular for the Melbourne Tractors Group family. This annual event is the ultimate test of skill for Kobelco service technicians worldwide, bringing together the best of the best to compete in categories like troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and team relay challenges. It’s where technical excellence meets global recognition—and this year, our team made history.

Representing Brisvegas Machinery, our very own Sherwin didn’t just dig in—he moved mountains! Competing in the senior diagnostic category, Troubleshooting 2, Sherwin placed 3rd globally. That’s no small feat when you’re up against elite technicians from every corner of the world.
But Sherwin didn’t stop there. He also achieved the coveted Kobelco AAA Mechanic status, the highest level of certification in Kobelco’s global service standards. This recognition isn’t handed out lightly—it’s reserved for technicians who demonstrate exceptional skill, precision, and problem-solving ability under pressure. For us, it’s proof that when you trust Brisvegas Machinery, you’re backed by world-class expertise.

The Melbourne Tractors Group had more reasons to celebrate. Arnel from Melbourne Tractors and Braden from Ballarat Tractors joined forces as part of the KCMA team, representing our extended family on the global stage. These guys worked tirelessly through intense challenges, showcasing the depth of talent across our group.
The KCMA team came out swinging in the Relay event, smashing the competition and finishing in 1st place during the live challenge. But in true competition fashion, a few points slipped away in the scoring process—what a stitch up!—and the team ultimately landed 5th overall. Still, their performance was nothing short of impressive, and we couldn’t be prouder of the effort, teamwork, and determination they displayed.

Why does this matter? Because these achievements aren’t just trophies on a shelf—they translate directly into the service you receive. The Kobelco Global Service Competition is designed to push technicians to their limits, testing their ability to diagnose complex issues, perform precision repairs, and deliver solutions under time pressure. When our team excels in this environment, it means your machines are in the hands of people who can handle anything.
At Brisvegas Machinery, we believe that service is the backbone of reliability. Machines are only as good as the support behind them, and our technicians are proving—on a global stage—that they’re among the best in the business. Whether it’s routine maintenance or critical troubleshooting, you can trust that our team has the skills, knowledge, and certification to keep your equipment running at peak performance.
The Kobelco AAA Mechanic status is more than a badge—it’s a commitment to excellence. It signifies mastery of Kobelco’s technical standards and the ability to deliver service that meets the highest global benchmarks. For Sherwin, earning this status is a career-defining achievement. For Brisvegas Machinery, it’s a testament to our investment in training, development, and continuous improvement.

As we celebrate these incredible achievements, we’re already looking forward to what’s next. Competitions like this aren’t just about winning—they’re about learning, sharing knowledge, and raising the bar for service standards across the industry. Our team will bring back insights, techniques, and best practices that will benefit every customer we serve.
To Sherwin, Arnel, Braden, and the entire KCMA team: congratulations! You’ve made us proud, and you’ve shown the world what the Melbourne Tractors Group stands for—skill, dedication, and a relentless drive for excellence.
